As you know, IAAP's Mission is
Enhancing the success of career minded administrative professionals by providing opportunities for growth through education, community building and leadership development. And, in keeping with our Mission statement, we have changed the name of Hands Across the Border to the BC/WA Education Forum.
This year, we will be co-hosting with the Fraser Valley Chapter. We are meeting at the Coast Hotel and Conference Centre in Langley (
map) from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 25th. To register, simply click on the image above to open the Program/ Registration Form. An early-bird discount is available until September 15th, so don't delay!
His Worship Peter Fassbender, Mayor of Langley, will kick off our meeting. He will be followed by a terrific line-up of speakers including John Amyotte of Microsoft Canada on
Consumerization of Enterprise Technology and Brian Mullen, MSc, MCP on
Challenges of Leadership, Project Management and Business Analysis. Project Management was a hot topic in the results of our Membership Survey completed over the summer. In addition, we will hear from Past International President Barb Horton, CAP; Past President, Western Canada Division Barb Neuman, CAP; and current Vice-President, Western Canada Division DecolynneJo Barteski, CPS.
If you haven't been to one of these extracurricular events before, you've missed a fantastic opportunity to meet fellow IAAP members from across the Pacific Northwest (guests come from Washington State, Alaska, Oregon, and Alberta). You've also missed opportunities to learn cutting edge technology used by today's administrative professional. It's a grand day out with a serious purpose.
We do hope you can join us this year for the inaugural BC/WA Education Forum. You'll be glad you did! And, remember, there's an early bird discount if you register by September 15th.
